Editorial Guidelines

1. Art guidelines

• Must be relevant to content (i.e. let's have hares at Ostara and not at Yule.)
• Must be viewable by little pagans as well as big pagans. No x-rated material.
• Must be in either gif, jpg, bmp, or tiff form.
• Will be subject to resizing if needed to fit newsletter format.
• Both color and B/W are acceptable.
•  Photography welcome but no people photographs will be accepted without the permission of all persons in the photo. NO EXCEPTIONS!

As of this time the editor has no ability to scan material so material must be scanned by the artist.

2. Article Guidelines

1. Must be in rtf, doc, or txt format and submitted via email. RTF format is preferred.
2.  Including articles submitted after deadline are totally at the discretion of the editor.
3. Articles must deal with one or more of the following topics

• Paganism
• Holidays, Rites, and Circles
• A Specific pagan Path or tradition
• Goddesses and Gods
• Herbalism
• Mother Earth
• How to Articles
• Altar Tools
• Robe Making
• Incense
• Sacred Space
• (this list can go on and on but I think you get my drift)
• The Sixth Principle

  ----Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

   

• The relationship of paganism and Unitarian-Universalism
• Spiritual Journeys and/or Beginnings---first person perspective
• Sacred Spaces. . .by and for the traveling pagan. Need not be a universally accepted "sacred" place.

    4. No specific length at present but all materials are subject to editing for space. When appropriate some may be broken into two parts for inclusion in two issues.

    5. No one will be by-lined by their common name unless they give written permission. Please submit all articles with the byline you want used.

3. Other General Guidelines

• The newsletter will be published as an uploaded PDF file eight (8) times a year, corresponding to the eight Sabbats.
• All submissions must be emailed directly to the editor: agathasilverdrgn@yahoo.com
• Deadlines will be announced via the COL news list as well as posted here.
• Officers and members are encouraged to download the file for printout and distribution if so desired.
• Editorial guidelines can be modified or added to by the editor at any time. Please refer back to these guidelines frequently. If in doubt, contact the editor! agathasilverdrgn@yahoo.com
